It's official: the holiday season is upon us! I no longer understand how time works? Where did this year go!? Anyway...
The U.S. Postal Service has announced their peak holiday shipping rate increase to start on Sunday, October 3, 2021 through Sunday, December 26, 2021. What does that mean for you? Well, I'll be shipping out your orders as fast as possible all the way up to Christmas, so no change on my end. My shipping rates are set to whatever the current usps rates are so if you see changes there, that is, unfortunately, beyond my control. Our hardworking friends at the post office will be doing their best to get everything delivered, but they are really in a pinch this year as the mail will be significantly slowed down across the entire United States to cut costs. This will affect first class mail in particular, so a lot of small businesses (like this one!) will be at the mercy of the flow. BUT! Pre-planning is the best way to avoid these disruptions, so place orders before the cut off dates whenever possible! I want your holidays to be merry, so to be extra safe, I will be encouraging you to plan around the usps cutoff dates below, while adding extra days when you can:
First Class: Friday, December 17th
Priority: Monday, December 20th
Priority Mail Express: December 23rd
I would strongly advise trying to order up to a week before those dates, especially if you really, really need it there before the holiday. I can also add a personalized card or note to your order if you want me to send it directly to the recipient. I promise I will do everything I can to make your holiday the best ever!
